Vancouver – A Para Paradise

Posted on November 30, 2019October 26, 2019 by admin
Image result for Vancouver city

Vancouver is the most visited are diversifying in culture city. It houses in its atmosphere all the cultures that Canada is quite known for. It is surrounded by beaches and has a hilly background to itself. It holds diversifying attractions like beautiful parks and incredible aquariums. The city was tagged alongside the Manhattan but with mountains. It is the biggest seaport for Canada, with having around eight beaches and a single lake which deals for seaports. Its beauty was very much appreciated in the year 2010, when the hosted Winter Olympics.

Stanley Park

The park is adjacent to downtown Vancouver and holds an incredible specialty of trees in it. The park is very lush and is kind of a peninsular park; the paths of this park are overshadowed by the big and old trees, giving you a feeling of absolute warmth and calm. Like me, you can even explore the park on a bicycle if you don’t want to do it on foot. It also houses the Vancouver Aquarium; you can visit that after you go through the park. You are bound to spot some very spectacular views. It also houses museums, which showcases the early tools used by the local sellers around the Vancouver market.

Grouse Mountain

You cannot get a better panorama view of beautiful Canada if you’re not at the Grouse Mountain. Be it summer or winter, it offers you the best views in both the seasons and trusts me the view is crystal clear. This experience is worth taking. In the evening the views look the best because of the city lights. It also offers you certain sports like skiing and snowboarding and snowshoeing. You will climb the mountain through the Grouse Grind, and that staircase, if I must say, is heavenly.

Ushuaia – The City That Gives

Posted on November 17, 2019October 26, 2019 by admin

This is the southernmost city in the whole of Argentina, being the lowest city the weather around is very unstable. The summers are too hot and the winters are too cold. The city came to be known popularly because of the former prison the city hosted which could capture over 3000 prisoners in one time. The city in winters is also said to have some fabulous glaciers to look at and summers here are known to be immensely pleasant to take in the city’s attractions of your list under traveling. The wildlife of the city is popular and uncanny. You can spot every species from koalas, penguins, dolphins to giraffes. Here are some of my recommendations.

Cruising the Beagle Channel

The Beagle channel is wildly known as the end of the world link. The horizon on the beagle channel seems to be never meeting. The folks of the city believe that every cruise or ship or a boat that has crossed the horizon to the point nobody can actually spot them in the waters is when they never return. But then this is just some tale, personally, it is all fun and crazy to listen to their stories, but I don’t actually believe it. Alongside your cruising experience, you can also spot the majestic dolphins and the penguins along the coastline. It is a must visiting experience.

Cerro Castor Sea Resort

This is the only famous resort all around Ushuaia; the resort in itself is like a complete place to visit. You will never get tired of staying in this resort. It has so much to offer from ice sports to steams, baths and spas. The topmost floor of the ski resort offers you a hot bath with one wall completely changed into a glass wall, giving you the complete view of snow covered city along with the most relaxing hot steams. The ice skating rink is at the foot of the ski resort, where you can go using a cable car or a snowmobile. The experience is one of its kinds.

What to do When You Land in Bonito?

Posted on November 5, 2019October 26, 2019 by admin
Image result for Land in Bonito

If you are in love with nature, attractive waterfalls, caves, and also support ecotourism, then Bonita is a must visit. This is a place for the adventurous and nature loving tourists. I love to admire and watch Nature very closely and loved every bit I spent in Bonito.

Sights and Sounds of Bonito

  1. Parque Ecologico Rio Formoso

This is the perfect place to visit for all adventure fanatics. The park offers a lot of activities like horse riding, snorkeling, and biking trails, kayaking, and diving. The trail is spread over 1800 meters in the Formoso river forest area. I loved the snorkeling bit as I got to see a wide range of fishes and algae underneath the waters.

  1. Lagoa Misteriosa

This is a mysterious lagoon lake that is found at a sinkhole’s bottom. It is an ideal expedition to take for all deepwater divers. This is a very deep cave that you can find in this country.  There have been cave divers who have reached more than 220 meters deep. You can get access to the attractive deep blue waters of the lake through the 179 steps staircase.

  1. Gruta Da Lago Azul

This is a blue lagoon cave that was discovered in 1924. It is having a depth x width ratio of 80 x 120 meters. It is known for its natural and clear blue waters and is one of the most attractive landscapes in this part of the world. You get to see nature at its best here making stalagmites and stalactites. This is a natural monument and is the best place to capture rock formation.

  1. Anhumas Abyss

These caves are located in the Anhumas valley in Bonito. To get to the bottom of the cavern, you need to undergo a 72-meter vertical descent and it is only for the adventurous travelers. You will be tied up in safety ropes during the steep climb-down. You end up on a floating deck where you get to undertake snorkeling and diving.

  1. Fabrica Taboa Artesanato E Cachacaria

If you would like to taste the strong spirits and the great flavors of Bonito, then you need to visit this cachaca factory. During this trip, you get to see the clay and cloth handicraft workshop.

Koh Samui – White Sand Beaches and Much More

Posted on October 27, 2019October 26, 2019 by admin
Image result for koh samui island

This place does not need an introduction to most people as it has gained popularity over the years, more so as Phuket has become increasingly popular and crowded. For those looking for more secluded beaches, Koh Samui is the place to be.

When I landed at Koh Samui I booked myself at a resort by the white sand beaches. I enjoyed simply being on the beach by the warm waters and enjoying the nightlife here.

Main Areas of Tourist Attraction

Once you are here explore Chaweng Beach. It is a busy area but is known for its nightlife. I enjoyed stopping by the discotheques as well as restaurants and open-air bars. Close to this beach are Bhoput and Lamai beaches. These have villages by them that make them quaint and worth exploring, away from the crowded parts of the island.

Beach Activities to Try

There are several beach activities that took up most of my time here. I booked myself for a day trip in scuba diving and enjoyed a guided tour of the under-waters and the coral reefs.

Water cruises are also a must try here with novel experiences like banana boats, windsurfing and enjoying jet skiing. You have to always be careful when traveling because you could get injured if you push too far and are not familiar with surfing or jet skiing. Just be careful and have fun. A friend who works back at Alaska Regional Hospital is always overly concerned with getting hurt due to some of the things she sees at work. She has got me thinking all the time about being extra careful. Regardless, have fun at these activities but be safe.

Land tours are also recommended here. They take you inside the island where you get to visit the Namuang waterfall or the Big Buddha. One can also trek by the elephants or opt for an off-roading tour.

Other Local Attractions

I also visited a local aquarium, a snake farm, tiger show and monkeys at work. Lamai had a good nightlife that I enjoyed and discovered several great places for Thai cuisine.

I would recommend to many to stop by Koh Samui and not Phuket for a similar but less crowded experience. You can enjoy similar beachscape and activities as well as put up at luxury resorts with secluded beach areas.

Parksville: Enjoying A Fun Holiday With Your Family

Posted on June 7, 2019February 7, 2019 by admin

Traveling with your family and kids to Parksville can be a vacation that you are never going to forget. It is mostly frequented by travelers from Vancouver and is definitely a beautiful destination. The town has to offer family-friendly activities that can re-energize people of all ages. When you are in Parksville, here are some activities that you can enjoy.

  • Ocean kayaking

I greatly enjoyed kayaking with my family. This can prove to be a great workout for your kids. The best thing about this was that we got to see ocean creatures like sea lions up close. Take guided tours for an awesome experience.

  • Caving

Caving isn’t for everyone a lot of people tend to feel claustrophobic by it. However, going underground with your shining headlamp to check out hundred-year-old formations is incredibly cool. Drive from Parksville to Horne Lakes to have a family tour that you are never going to forget. Keep in mind that you have to make reservations.

  • Visit Coombs

Have fun at the Old Country Market at Coombs. Don’t miss out the amazing ice-parlor serving mouth-watering ice-creams. In the bustling market, you will find goodies from different parts of the world. I got some souvenirs from here. Try out the jalapeno cheese bread, it is a killer. There are some gift shops, too.

  • Walk on Rathtrevor Beach

Stroll around the Rathtrevor Provincial Park while the tide is out. My kids had so much fun here. There are activities like crab racing, sandcastle-building, and kite-flying activities to take part in. You will be able to spend a perfect day at the beach. Grab a chair and watch water washing the shore.

  • Enjoy Milner Garden

This garden on Qualicum Beach will take you around woodland forest which alters into a great English Garden. There are trails where you can take a walk with your child and view is just beautiful.

Osoyoos: Enjoy A More Than Just The Wineries

Posted on February 28, 2019February 7, 2019 by admin

Enjoy the surreal natural beauty, top-quality wine, and fresh garden food. Being close to Vancouver, it is often neglected by tourists but I found several things that can make your summer vacation just perfect. So, what are you waiting for, plan a little weekend getaway in summer? Here are a few things you can do on your visit.

  • Savor a delicious meal

There are a number of delectable foods serving restaurant in Osoyoos. Some of these restaurants have a theme of the landscape around. There are some resorts and wineries which offer a combination of comfort and great food. Check out the different restaurants over the internet and drop in at one of them. I came across a poolside restaurant with amazing view. It certainly satisfied my foody soul.

  • Visit a spotted lake

Do not forget to miss out on the Spotted Lake that you will find on your right. This is a tiny lake which might be a tad difficult to find. But it is surely worth a visit. The lake gets its name from the deposits of minerals.  You will see them revealed when you visit during the summer months. This was an unusual sight to behold. You should that you might not be able to access the lake properly. Nonetheless, the lake spots can easily be seen from a distance.

  • Get on water

Osoyoos has swimmable waters which are great for different types of water sports. The minimal boat traffic and calm tides will give you a great ride. I tried paddle boarding for the first time. There are centers there for training you. The instructor taught me very small detail and gave the confidence. It was truly a unique experience. This relaxing sport will give you a breathtaking view of Osoyoos Lake.

Maringa: Things You Shouldn’t Miss Out On

Posted on February 15, 2019January 13, 2019 by admin

With my visit to Maringa, I found out that there are various things you can do and be a part of. I visited the city and explored the beauty that it has to offer. The city is charming and is rich in history. As a matter of fact, it has one of the most amazing landscapes. Let’s take a look at the various attractions that it has to offer.

  • Basilica Minor Cathedral Our Lady of Glory

This serves as the landmark of Maringa. It is a Roman Catholic cathedral. It had been completed in the year 1972 and is known to be the tallest church that you will find in South America. Go in on a sunny day and get mesmerized by its beauty. The light plays inside the tall but minimalist structure. Thus, it turns out to be a beautiful artwork.

  • Park of Japan

There were Japanese immigrants and the park displays the history of it. The garden is pretty well-maintained. You will find Japanese carps in the lake. Take a walk with your family or partner. There are restaurants as well. So you can spend your afternoon and have lunch in the park. I have to say that the city displays historical excellence.

  • Calil Haddad Theater

Maringa is a city with a large number of residents and Calil Haddad Theatre is a justification of that. The theatre’s facilities are pretty good. Various events are held in this theatre from time to time. A lot of people visit this theatre.

  • Maringa Municipal Market

Want to do some shopping? Visit this place. It is a small space with many stores. There are also some restaurants that offer the local cuisine and satisfy your taste buds. Here, you will get Brazilian sweets, vegetables, raw meat, Italian food, and fruits.

Playa Del Carmen: Fun Things To Do

Posted on February 7, 2019April 5, 2019 by admin

Playa Del Carmen has to offer loads of attractions. Hence, for me, it turned out to be really difficult to look through the choices.  We had tried for a long time to visit here so we would have enough time to try out various activities at Playa Del Carmen. Starting from secret beaches to trying out local dishes, I had so much fun. Here are my top picks of things to do when you are in Playa Del Carmen.

  • Explore Chichen Itza

This has been named as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Mayan ruins that you will find here are spectacular. No doubt, Chichen Itza is the most significant archaeological site that you will come across in Mexico. What’s surprising is that it is located in the deep jungle. Thus, it might be a bit challenging to reach this place. It is best to rent a car. Get up early to visit this temple prior to the heat sets in and the crowds start arriving.

  • Take a dip in Cenote

If you want to go for a swim, don’t go to the ocean. Ask a local where you can take a dip into the water and there is one answer you will come across and that is a Cenote. Cenotes are underground swimming spaces that are formed in places where limestone bedrocks make way for springs and rivers. Thus, visiting one topped my list. There are many Cenotes to choose from but I loved Cenote Azul the most.

  • Go for a day trip to Xpu Ha

There are some beautiful beaches close to Playa Del Carmen. However, I was especially attracted to the secluded beach of Xpu Ha. To reach this place you will have to rent a car. As you reach there, you will be rewarded with crystal clear water and pristine white sand.

Ouro Preto: List Of The Must Visit Attractions

Posted on December 19, 2018December 15, 2018 by admin

Ouro Preto is a colonial town which is known for its baroque facades, cobbled streets, and intricately designed churches. As a matter of fact, it has turned out to be the first World Heritage Site Declared by UNESCO. Wandering around the picturesque street, I came across some attractions and hidden gems. Here are some of the must-visit attractions of Ouro Preto.

  • Museu Casa Guignard

Opened in the year 1987, it’s for paying a tribute to Alberto da Veiga Guignard. He is one of the best designers and painters of Brazil.  There are guidelines that will guide you through the museum. The museum celebrates his personal life, as well as his artistic brilliance. You will find three rooms in the museum that exhibits his paintings of the Brazilian landscape.

  • Basílica Nossa Senhora Do Pilar

This is one of the best churches that I found in Ouro Petro. The Catholic Church is a historical center. The construction had started in the 17th century and presently it is absolutely in pristine condition. The church showcases gold plated interior with carved religious figures. For protecting the delicate carvings inside, it is prohibited to click photos.

  • Ideal times to visit

There are many carnival parties that take place in this city. One of the popular times to visit and experience the carnival is in the month of July. It is during this time that the city celebrates the annual winter festival because it is its birthday. The Ouro Preto Orchestra performs in this festival. There is a music festival that is held in the month of December called Tudo é Jazz. Being a music enthusiast, I made sure to plan my trip in the same month. There are paid, as well as free shows in the festival. As a matter of fact, it caters to people who are interested in daily activities.

Experience The Enthralling City Of Wuxi

Posted on December 10, 2018December 4, 2018 by admin

If you are going to plan a trip to Wuxi soon, it seems that you have landed in the right place. It is so because here I am going to share my personal experience about the city from the last time I visited this place. It is a city in the southern Jiangsu province. Wuxi is popular for the growth of its modern industry and commerce. It also has a number of resorts along Lake Tai which helps it economically. Apart from that, it is also a historical and cultural city of China and has been a leading region for agriculture as well. Let us take a look at the other attractions of this city.

  • Li Garden

This garden lies by the Li Lake and is one of the most beautiful places in this city according to me. It is surrounded by water on three sides and you can see green hills in the distance. It is divided into four sections and each of the section has its own charm. From June to September a lotus exhibition is held here, hence I would suggest this time to be perfect to visit this garden.

  • Grand Buddha of Lingshan

This place is on the southwest side of the main city and the largest bronze statue of Buddha in the whole world can be found here. It also has wonderful places like Mandala of Five Mudra and the palace of Brahma etc. Do give this place a visit if you have an interest in Buddhism.

  • Taihu Lake

This lake is the third largest freshwater lake in China. The islets and peninsulas of this place combine to create a scenery of great natural beauty. The best place to view this beautiful lake is the Turtle Head Islet which is of the shape of the head of a turtle.

  • City of Three(3) Kingdoms

This is a famous place which attracts a lot of tourists; given it is one of the eminent bases of CCTV TV. I had personally loved this place when I had visited it. A famous history-based television series was filmed here; hence you will find many grand palaces, buildings, and temples all over the place.
